Painter and performance artist who gained an honours degree at Central St Martins College of Art, 1987–91. Jones approached his massive, brash pictures through photography. He used cuttings from pornographic magazines or took snaps of female friends, witness his solo shows at 30 Underwood Street and The Blue Gallery, both 2000. Jones took part in solo and group performances at Finborough Arms, 1985–6, other group appearances including Fresh Art, BDC, 1991, and Making Out, Transmission Gallery, Glasgow, 1995.
