Painter, printmaker and teacher, born in Tynewydd, Glamorgan. He attended Cardiff College of Art, 1953–7, and the Slade School of Fine Art, 1957–60. Took up several teaching posts, meantime in 1961–2 being co-director of the Image Gallery, Leamington Spa, from 1972 head of the department of fine art at Cardiff College of Art. A member of the 56 Group, he also showed with Young Contemporaries on several occasions, Howard Roberts Gallery in Cardiff, SEA and WAC. One-man show at Elizabeth Gallery, Coventry. Was included in Welsh Painting for the 21st Century, Mall Galleries, 2001. University College, Aberystwyth, holds his acrylic Upfront. Lived in Cardiff, south Wales.
