Painter, relief artist and teacher, born in Pomeroy, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. He studied at Stranmillis College, Belfast, 1957–9, then after three years teaching art in a school in the city was at Belfast College of Art, 1962–6, and after various posts taught for many years at Ulster College. His abstract works included contoured canvases and modular reliefs such as that on the Cross and Passion School, Belfast. Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Bank of Ireland and New University of Ulster in Coleraine hold examples. Exhibitions included Arts Council of Northern Ireland Gallery; Richard Demarco Gallery in Edinburgh; David Gallery and David Hendriks Gallery, both in Dublin.
