Painter, draughtsman and printmaker, born in Norwich, Norfolk, the county where he grew up and which inspired much of his work, which also included seascapes and interiors. Jamieson attended Manchester University, 1964–8; Byam Shaw School of Painting and Drawing, 1968–9; and Royal Academy Schools, 1969–72. The publisher Edward Arnold and the National Trust commissioned work. HRH The Prince of Wales and National Maritime Museum hold Jamieson’s pictures, which were given solo shows by Abbott and Holder, including one in 2003 of landscapes in Norfolk, Venice and France.
