Painter who attended Central School of Art and Design, 1982–5, then gained her master’s degree at Chelsea School of Art, 1986. She was involved in many group shows, including Warwick Arts Trust, 1986–7, Axiom Gallery in Cheltenham and the Royal Over-Seas League annual exhibition, and she also participated in (dis)parties, held at Mappin Art Gallery, Sheffield, in 1992 and in 1993 at Herbert Art Gallery, Coventry. In 1990 she shared a show with Mary Mclean at Pomeroy Purdy Gallery. Pattern was a strong element in Ireland’s work, and Indian miniatures, Aboriginal bark paintings and English tapestries were cited as parallels. Lived in London.
