Painter and teacher, born in Colne, Lancashire. Between 1964–71 Ibbotson attended University of Reading and Royal Academy Schools, then returned to Lancashire and taught, some time at Blackpool College of Art. Between 1974–8 she taught at the School of Art in Falmouth, Cornwall, where she settled. Was included 1989 Newlyn Orion Galleries exhibition A Century of Art in Cornwall 1889–1989, represented by the typically large landscape All that Glitters, which took five years to complete.
