Painter, draughtsman and teacher, born in Watford, Hertfordshire, where he lived. Hill studied at Watford School of Art and Royal Academy Schools in 1950s, where he several times won the David Murray Scholarship in landscape, plus other awards, teachers including Henry Rushbury, Peter Greenham and Bernard Fleetwood-Walker. Went on to teach at Matthew Arnold School in Staines. He was a member of ROI, UA, NS and NEAC and showed at RA, Woodstock and Beaux Arts Galleries. Nottingham Museum and Art Gallery and several other provincial galleries hold Hill’s work.
