Printmaker, draughtsman, painter and teacher, born in London. He studied fine art for his degree at Brighton Polytechnic, doing a postgraduate course in printmaking there. Went on to teach at Winchester School of Art and Southampton Institute of Higher Education. From 1976 Griffiths was represented in many group shows in Europe and America, including the Varna Print Biennale in Bulgaria, the First International Miniature Print Biennale in Britain and the Cleveland International Drawing Biennale. In 1990 he shared a three-man show at Woodlands Art Gallery. Had over a dozen solo shows in Britain. From 1981 was a member of the Printmakers’ Council. His work was in many public and private collections throughout the world. Lived in Hampshire, where he had his own printmaking studio.
