Painter, muralist and restorer who did a foundation year at Winchester School of Art, 1972–3; gained a degree in theatre design, Nottingham Art School, 1973–6, with a travel bursary to visit Florence, Italy; then did postgraduate theatre design at the Slade School of Fine Art, 1979–81. From 1985–97, Gradidge worked on murals, commissions and restoration of interiors, including the Park Lane Hotel; Bodelwyddan Castle, Clwyd; and the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester. Between 1989–91 she was artist-in-residence, Basingstoke District Community Hospital and Southampton General Hospital. From 1994 Gradidge exhibited watercolours in Hampshire and Dorset, in 1998 showing with Anthony Hepworth Fine Art, Bath, at Art99. Her work included small, meticulous still lifes.
