Born 1919, Anne Gordon received a scholarship to study at The Ruskin following the Second World War. During the war she worked on an American Airforce base in Suffolk and painted the nose art of various planes from the 385th Bombardment Group. She was also awarded a scholarship to the Rome Academy but turned it down to get married. She lived in Henley-on-Thames and was active in the rowing community. She sold paintings in the UK, Europe, and the USA.
