Painter and gallery director, who studied at Wrexham School of Art. He went on to be director of the gallery at Llanover Hall Arts Centre in Cardiff, where he lived. He was a member of the Welsh Group, Association of Artists/Designers in Wales and RCamA. Also showed with RA, LG and abroad in Europe. Goble’s work, which could be stridently coloured with a generous use of red and a rich personal imagery, was given a big exhibition, Dream Seeds, at Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Swansea, in 1995. He was included in A Serious Magic, at Newport Museum & Art Gallery, 2004–5. WAC holds Goble’s work.
