Painter, draughtsman and collagist, born in Anglesey, Wales. Among his works were colourful landscapes which included abstracted shapes. He gained a first-class honours degree at Trent Polytechnic, 1980–3, and completed postgraduate studies at Slade School of Fine Art, 1993–5. Mixed exhibitions included Stowells Trophy, RA and Riverside Studios, all 1983; 4th Highland Open Exhibition (prizewinner) and Gulacsy Gallery, Budapest, both 1990; and Winter Paintings, The Ceilidh Place, Ullapool, 1994. In 1994 the Highland Regional Council and Scottish Arts Council toured Gladwyn’s solo show Out of The Darkness, the year that he began showing solo with East West and with The Ceilidh Place. East West held a memorial show, 1999. Scottish Arts Council, Highland Regional Council, the Socomer Group in Belgium and Robert Fleming & Company hold examples.
