Painter, draughtsman and printmaker influenced by David Bomberg. She won a joint honours degree in art and geography at Lancaster University, 1975–8, then undertook a postgraduate painting course at Cyprus College of Art, under a Peter Minet Trust Award, 1983–4. Completed an advanced diploma in printmaking at Central School of Art and Design, 1985–7. An Oppenheim-John Downes Trust Travel Award enabled her to paint in Spain for a year in 1989. In 1991 took part in Towner Art Gallery, Eastbourne, David Bomberg and his followers exhibition, and in 1997 twenty-fifth anniversary exhibition at Bury St Edmunds Art Gallery. She showed widely in Britain and abroad, including Royal College of Art, South London Art Gallery and Royal Festival Hall.
