Artist in oil on canvas or board, born in Norwich, Norfolk, who gained a diploma from Amersham College of Art, then an honours degree from Brighton University, 1981, where teachers included Chris Le Brun and Jack Smith. Took part in many group shows, including Centaur Gallery, 1985; Towner Art Gallery, Eastbourne, 1986; Brighton University, 1987–90; and Gracefield Art Centre, Dumfries, 1997. Had a solo exhibition at Trinity Arts Centre, Tunbridge Wells, 1986, later ones including Chambers Gallery, Moffat, and Gracefield Art Centre, both 1996. In 1993, Gascoyne moved to Dumfries and Galloway, establishing The Cree Gallery, Gatehouse of Fleet, where she exhibited. Shared an exhibition with Jenny Cowern at Linton Court Gallery, Settle, 2003.
