Painter and sculptor, born in Halifax, Yorkshire, who settled nearby at Skipton. He studied at Bradford College of Art, 1968–70, Leeds Polytechnic, 1970–3 and Royal College of Art, 1973–6. His work could be fetishistic, with overt sexual imagery, sculptures using a range of materials. Showed in north of England, solo exhibitions including Cartwright Hall, Bradford, 1978. His large Untitled, of 1976–9, in oil, acrylic and industrial paint, was included in Arts Council’s 1981–2 tour Fragments Against Ruin, being taken into the collection.
