Marine painter, born in Dover, Kent. After Clifton College he was 37 years in the Royal Navy, which gave his pictures great authenticity. Was elected to RSMA in 1983, also showing with Wapping Group of Artists and Armed Forces’ Art Society. Royal Naval Lifeboat Institution and Yarrow Shipbuilders hold examples. Lived in Snape, Suffolk.
