Artist born in Paisley, Renfrewshire, who studied at St Helens College of Art and Design, then graduated in fine art from Birmingham Polytechnic. Farrell’s stone Flywheel, opposite the Council House in Coventry’s city centre, was installed in 1987 as part of the On the Town Midlands View 4 Sculpture Show. Farrell contributed to group exhibitions in the Midlands area. His solo shows included Highcroft Hospital, 1986, and Midland Arts Centre, 1987, both in Birmingham.
