Artist and lecturer who studied at Leeds College of Art, 1952; attended the Slade School of Fine Art, for printing and sculpture 1953; and won a Robert Ross Scholarship for study abroad, in Italy, 1957. He showed at the New Art Centre, 1958; Finchley Public Library, 1964; and The Gordon Maynard Gallery, Welwyn Garden City, 1966. In 1968 there he shared a show with Mary Hoad and Leslie Summers. By that time he had held various part-time teaching posts, had been a lecturer for the department of extra-mural studies at the University of London and was currently in charge of painting and cine photography at All Saints College of Education, Tottenham. Hertfordshire County Council and private collections bought Evans’ work.
