Painter, printmaker and museum keeper, born and lived in Glasgow, who studied at the School of Art there, 1959–63, under David Donaldson, William Armour and W Drummond Bone. She worked at Glasgow Art Gallery and Museum, 1959–63, latterly as keeper of fine art; was a part-time artist until 1993, then full-time. Was a member of Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, Glasgow Society of Women Artists and SSWA, also showing at RSA and RSW and with several Glasgow dealers in mixed exhibitions. Had a two-man show at Lillie Art Gallery, Milngavie, 1977; a four-man there in 1994; with a solo exhibition at Greenock Arts Guild, 1978. Glasgow Art Gallery and Museum, Strathclyde University, Lillie Art Gallery and Tayside Regional Council hold Donald’s work, which was still life and landscape “influenced by Scottish art from the Glasgow Boys and Scottish Colourists onwards”.
