Portrait painter and miniaturist, born in Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa. She was educated in South Africa and England, then studied art with Henry Tonks and Philip Wilson Steer at the Slade School of Fine Art, finally in Italy. Exhibited RMS, of which she was a member, RA, NEAC, LG, RP and elsewhere. She was a member of the group of artists in the 1950s living around Charlotte Street, London (including Harry Jonas, who drew her), written about in Clifford Bax’s book Rosemary for Remembrance.
