Sculptor of enigmatically titled, often richly ornamented works, created from a variety of materials who was born and continued to live in London. She studied at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts, 1980–3, and Goldsmiths’ College School of Art, 1985–7. She gained a Steinberger Group Award in 1988, in 1989 the Greater London Arts Individual Artist’s Award. From 1986 showed at Whitechapel Open; had a two-man show at Goldsmiths’ Gallery in 1989, the year she was in Barcelona Biennial, in Spain; and then was in The British Art Show 1990, toured by South Bank Centre. Had solo shows at Winchester Gallery in 1985; Mario Flecha Gallery, 1988, the year when she was an Artist of the Day at Angela Flowers Gallery; Laure Genillard Gallery, 1990; and Whitechapel Art Gallery, 1997.
