Painter of landscape, born in Glasgow, where he studied at the School of Art with William Armour and David Donaldson, graduating in 1967. He was a member of The Scottish Ruralists who worked on-the-spot regardless of climate. Was an exhibiting member of Glasgow Art Club, Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and Paisley Institute of Fine Arts, also showing regularly with RSA and RSW. In 1993 was included in Contemporary Art From Scotland at Thompson’s Gallery. HRH The Duke of Edinburgh holds his work.
