Painter and teacher, born in Pudsey, Yorkshire. He attended Loughborough College of Art, 1972–5, then Royal College of Art, 1978–81. He went on to teach at Brighton Polytechnic and Ulster University. From the mid-1970s Davies was a prolific exhibitor, making several appearances at John Moores Exhibition in Liverpool, at LG, Christopher Hull and Cooling Galleries and Royal Over-Seas League. In 1986 he was winner of the League’s first prize. Had a solo show at Polytechnic Gallery, Stoke, in 1987, others including Christopher Hull Gallery 1988–90–92, and Six Chapel Row Contemporary Art, Bath, 2002, entitled Enigma and Myth. Lived in London.
