Painter and draughtsman born in Pontrhydygroes Ystrad Meurig, Cardiganshire. He studied at Metropolitan School of Art in Dublin. Showed RA for many years, RWA, in the provinces and abroad. National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth holds his work. Lived in Norwich, Norfolk. Bonhams East Anglia included Davies’s light, breezy oil on canvas The Seine at Les Andelys in its sale The East Anglian View, at Lynford Hall, Mundford, 2000.
