Painter in oil, born in Sandomierz, Poland, married to the artist Wendy Jones-Dabrowska. He was brought up in Liverpool, attending the College of Art there, 1961–7, gaining a fine art (painting) honours degree in 1966. Teachers included Heinz Koppel, Keith Arnatt, Arthur Ballard, John Edkins and Nicholas Horsfield. As part of his postgraduate year he travelled to the Netherlands, Germany, Czechoslavakia and Poland, visits to his homeland continuing to inform his work. From 1986 he was a member of the Bigos group Polish artists, which in that year had a show Brixton Art Gallery and The Crypt, St George’s Church, Bloomsbury. Also exhibited Centaur Gallery, from 1990, and Covent Garden Festival, 1997–8. Had a number of two- and three-man shows including POSK Gallery, 1993, a solo exhibition at Blackfriars Arts Centre, Boston, 1985, another at Heifer Gallery, 2002, and one shared there in 2003 with the potter Jane Bridger.
