Painter and teacher, born in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, who studied at Swindon College of Art and Goldsmiths’ College School of Art. Early in the 1960s he moved to north Wales and taught and from the early 1970s was curator of the University College of North Wales, Bangor, Art Gallery. Retired in 1983 because of ill-health and returned to Wiltshire to live in Hindon. Participated in a number of touring exhibitions and had one-man shows including Bangor Art Gallery and Austin/Desmond Fine Art. Gavin Graham Gallery showed Works on Paper in 2003. WAC, National Museum of Wales in Cardiff and Swansea’s Glynn Vivian Art Gallery hold Cullimore’s work, which is in the English romantic landscape tradition.
