Painter of monochrome and Minimalist works, born in Aldershot, Hampshire, who studied at Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham, 1979–82. Group exhibitions included Wonderful Life, 1993; Six Painters, Lisson Gallery, 1994; Real Art, Southampton City Art Gallery, 1995; Jerwood Prize Shortlist, 1996; British Painting, Galerie Hollenbach, Stuttgart, Germany, 1998; Howard Yezerski Gallery, Boston, Massachusetts, America, 2000; and Minimalism: Then and Now, Berkeley Museum, San Francisco, California, America, 2001. Clem Crosby New Paintings was at program in 2005. Released to coincide with this, his first solo show, were four songs from Kunstick: Crosby, music and guitars, David Stephenson, words and vocals. Crosby lived in London.
