Painter, notably of flowers. She was born Theresa Norah Butchart in Haughton le Skerne, Darlington, County Durham, her father a company director; was educated in Brussels, Belgium; and by the time that she entered the Slade School of Fine Art to study painting and drawing 1903–5, under Frederick Brown, Henry Tonks and Philip Wilson Steer, had her home at Barrow in Furness, Cumbria, where she had attended the local art school. She was also a pupil at the school founded by Sir Hubert von Herkomer in Bushey. After marrying the artist Frank T Copnall they settled at Hoylake, Cheshire. At various times she was a member of UA, Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and the Deeside Art Group. She showed over many years at the RA Summer Exhibition, also at ROI, RCamA, RSA, SWA, at Paris Salon and in Canada, work being signed with a TNC monogram or Teresa Copnall.
