Artist in graphic media and teacher, born in New Malden, Surrey. After five years in the management of Clan Line Steamers, Collins studied at Wimbledon School of Art, 1962–5, then Swansea College of Art, 1965–6, his teachers including Lionel Ellis and E M Scales. He eventually became head of the art department at Emanuel School, London. Collins was a topographical draughtsman who showed with SGA and Society of Architectural and Industrial Illustrators, of both of which he was a member. Sometimes signed work with initials only. Lived in Petersham, Surrey.
