Artist and teacher working in a wide variety of media, including abstract sculpture in steel, born in London. He studied at North-East London Polytechnic and Royal College of Art and in 1982–5 was the first Henry Moore Fellow at Norwich. Became head of sculpture at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford. Exhibited at Air Gallery, 1977, Camden Arts Centre, 1979, Arnolfini Gallery, Bristol, in 1980, and Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, 1981. In 1983 was included in British Artists at Cyprus College of Art at Woodlands Art Gallery. Later works included The Blindings, Serpentine Gallery, 1994; an eight-hour video Cyclops, South London Gallery, 1996; and, with Tony Grisoni, the film Vanished!, in E S P – Contemporary Artists Investigate the Paranormal, Ikon Gallery, 1999.
