Painter and printmaker, born in Ross-shire, who attended Fortrose Academy, 1975–81. Did a foundation course in art and design at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts, 1981–2; an honours degree in fine art (painting), at Central School of Art and Design, 1982–5; and a diploma in advanced printmaking at the Central, 1985–7; with a postgraduate certificate in education, University of East Anglia, 1990–1. Mixed shows included RA; RSA; Artefact, Bankside, Stephen Bartley, Boundary and October Galleries; Alba Fine Art; and Phoenix Gallery, Lavenham. In 1996 had a solo show at Chappel Galleries, Chappel. Her solo exhibition at North House Gallery, Manningtree, in 2003 revealed a substantial body of work subsequently produced. Cameron chose to “start a painting very impulsively, with sweeping areas of saturated colour.
