Painter and printmaker concerned with marine and architectural subjects. He was born in London, son of the architect and painter George Adam Burn. Studied at South Kensington, later studies taking place in Germany, Belgium and France. Often working on a large scale, Burn showed at RA, RBA, Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and with Portsmouth and Hampshire Art Society. Travelled widely, eventually settling in 1907 in Amberley, Sussex, to use the studio of the watercolourist Rose Barton. National Maritime Museum, Science Museum and other public venues in Britain and abroad hold his work.
