Landscape and figure painter in oil and watercolour. Born in Liverpool, he studied at Bradford School of Art, the Slade School of Fine Art and under the animal painter and sculptor John M Swan. Exhibited RA, ROI, NEAC, RSA, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, Paris Salon and elsewhere abroad. Yorkshire was a favourite subject of Brundrit’s, and the Tate Gallery holds several examples. Other English provincial and Australian galleries hold his work. Elected RA 1938. Lived at Masham, Yorkshire.
