Modeller, painter and artist in fresco who studied at Wimbledon College of Art after private education. Also attended St John’s Wood School of Art, Royal Academy Schools and Académie Julian, Paris. Miss Briggs was brought up in a religious environment and did work for a number of churches in England and America. Exhibited RA, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool and elsewhere in the provinces. She was closely associated with the East Dorset Art Society, living at Parkstone.
