Portrait painter in oil, born in Sheffield where he studied at the School of Art, then Royal College of Art. Exhibited RA, RBA especially, ROI, RSA and Paris Salon, where he gained an Hon. Mention in 1925. The Ministry of Information bought his picture The Gas Mask during World War II. Lived in London.
