Painter, from a working-class background, who studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, 1958–62. He lived temporarily in a house owned by John Minton, was painted by Ben Levene and Lucian Freud and exhibited in Young Contemporaries, 1960 and 1961. His gestural, richly coloured self-portrait, bought by Ruth Borchard, is illustrated in Philip Vann’s book Face To Face, published by Sansom & Company Ltd/Piano Nobile Fine Paintings in 2004.
