Sculptor who attended Humberside College of Higher Education, honing her abilities with wood by learning chainsaw use at Bishop Burton Agricultural College, then working with the noted timber sculptor, David Nash. She held a number of sculpture park residencies in Britain and Canada and completed a series of public commissions. Brailsford’s Tugboat, completed in painted wood in the early 1990s, was commissioned by Cleveland Arts and is sited on a riverside path in Middlesbrough.
