Painter and printmaker, and lecturer, born in Cockermouth, Cumberland. She studied at Liverpool College of Art, Leeds College of Art, Central School of Arts and Crafts and St Martin’s School of Art, her teachers including Ruskin Spear and Maurice de Sausmarez. Showed at Bluecoat Gallery in Liverpool, Woodstock Gallery, at Royal Festival Hall and American Embassy in London, as well as abroad. She held a number of versatile roles during her career, such as art adviser to Ilkley Council, in Yorkshire, and official artist to the New Philharmonia Orchestra during its 1971 American tour. Bradford was also official artist to the Leeds International Pianoforte Competition in 1975. She lectured extensively in Yorkshire and Lancashire and interpreted music performances in the United Kingdom and abroad.
