Painter and printmaker who studied at Luton School of Art, 1964–6; fine art at Coventry College of Art, 1966–9, gaining her diploma; then obtained her master’s degree in printmaking at Royal College of Art, 1969–72. In 1982 obtained an Eastern Arts Association grant. Mixed shows included Hachette Gallery, and British Council Exhibition in Linz, Austria, both 1971; Cracow Print Biennial, Poland, 1972; Five Realists, Minories, Colchester, and Summer Show I, Serpentine Gallery, both 1976; Cambridgeshire Artists, Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge, 1983; and Society of Botanical Artists, 1995. Had a solo exhibition at Duncan Campbell Contemporary Art, 1996, of paintings completed 1974–89, in which Booth transformed everyday objects as analogues for humanity, giving them a Surrealistic hint of menace.
