Landscape painter in oil, portrait painter and illustrator. Studied at Epsom School of Art and Goldsmiths’ College School of Art. He became principal of Epsom and Ewell School of Art, 1930–61. He exhibited at the RA, ROI, RBA and Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and his work was widely reproduced, notably by Royle Publications. Brighton Museum and Art Gallery and several other provincial galleries hold his work. Lived at Epsom, Surrey.
