Painter and teacher, born and lived in London. She had a great empathy with the city, tirelessly exploring the streets, absorbing and recording what she saw, which emerged in colourful panoramas which could take several years to complete. She studied at Hertfordshire College of Art and Design, 1974–6; Falmouth College of Art, 1976–9; and Royal College of Art, 1981–4. Teaching included Kingston University, Central St Martins School of Art and Hertfordshire College of Art and Design. Group exhibitions included RA Summer Exhibitions from 1985; South Bank Picture Show, Royal Festival Hall from 1987; and The Celebrated City, Barbican Art Gallery, 1992. Had a series of solo shows at Le Chat Noir Gallery from 1991. She was the subject of a London Weekend Television documentary.
