Printmaker and painter, born in Tel-Aviv, Israel, where he studied art at the Avni Institute, 1956–8, before completing his studies at Hornsey and Chelsea Art Colleges in 1966–9. From 1960–4 he was under contract to the Israel Gallery, Tel-Aviv, but moved to London in 1966. Won several prizes at Tel-Aviv Museum and a scholarship prize at the Israel-America Foundation Competition in 1966. Group shows included Annely Juda Gallery, 1969; 2nd International Print Biennale, Paris and Lister Art Gallery, Johannesburg, both 1970; British International Print Biennale, Bradford, 1974; and Leinster Gallery, 1981. Later solo shows included National Theatre, 1982–3, and Crocodile Gallery, 1993. Israel Museum, Jerusalem; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Utrecht Museum, Netherlands; and Ben Uri Art Society hold examples.
