Painter, draughtsman, writer and teacher, born in Feltham, Middlesex. Studied at Royal Academy Schools with Sir Walter Westley Russell, 1936–9. At end of World War II showed with war artists at National Gallery; also showing at RA, RBA, Leicester Galleries, NEAC and elsewhere. Imperial War Museum holds his work. Taught art for some years at Epsom College, in Surrey, and had strong interest in Oriental art. Lived in Epsom.
