Painter, designer and illustrator whose work included simplified images and contours abstracted from landscape. She was born in Rotherham, Yorkshire, gaining her diploma in art and design, 1981–3, with an honours degree in graphic design, 1983–6. Her work was widely illustrated in such publications as Images and the European Illustration Annual and clients included British Telecom, Morgan Grenfell, Saturday Times Review, Clydesdale Bank, Time-Life, Decca, EMI, New Scientist and Greenpeace. Co-operative Retail Services’ headquarters in Rochdale has a large canvas by her. In 1993 she won W H Smith and Norwegian Gullblyanten awards for illustration. Exhibitions included Gwent Illustrators, AOI Gallery, 1986; Images, The Best of British Illustration, at Smiths Galleries, from 1987; Montpelier Gallery, Bath Contemporary Art Fair, 1993; and New Ashgate Gallery, Farnham, 1995.
