Marine and landscape painter and teacher, born in London. The Aylings were associated with sculling and paddlemaking and George pursued the business for some years before studying at Putney School of Art, 1912. He continued to live near the River Thames, was a member of Chelsea Arts Club and the Art Workers’ Guild and taught in Middlesex. Exhibited RA, ROI, NEAC, New Grosvenor Gallery and at marine painting shows in France. Lived at Kew, Surrey.
