Artist producing abstract work, as in her ink and acrylic on fibreboard Forge, made of myriad vertical lines, which won her a prize in the 1997–8 John Moores Liverpool Exhibition. Born in Denton, Manchester, Arrowsmith did a foundation course at Thameside College of Technology, 1984–6, then gained an honours degree in textiles at Goldsmiths’ College, 1987–90. Group exhibitions included Woodlands Art Gallery, 1990, and Archbishop Tenison’s Grammar School, 1992. Had solo shows at Entwistle, 1994 and 1997; Galerie Frahm, Copenhagen, Denmark, 1999; and Galerie Fahnemann, Berlin, Germany, 2001. In 2004, Arrowsmith was an Artist of the Day at Flowers Central, chosen by Ian Davenport. Arts Council holds her work. Lived in London.
