Artist, notably in glass and ceramics, born in London, who did a foundation course at St Helens College of Art & Design, Merseyside, 1985–6; gained an honours degree in three-dimensional design at West Surrey College of Art, Farnham, 1986–9; then her master’s in glass and ceramics at Royal College of Art, 1990–2. She began a phd at the Royal College of Art in 2020. Among awards are the Wingate Scholarship and Eduardo Paolozzi Travel Bursary, both 1991; Prince’s Youth Business Trust Award, 1995; and S G Warburg Grant, 1996. Exhibitions include Crafts Council Glass Show, 1993; New Light, Solomon Gallery, Dublin, 1996; Expo Gas International I, Tucson, Arizona, 1997; and 198 Gallery.
