A white marble sculpture on square stone socle, a philosopher. The bust of a classical man, his head turned to his right and looking up slightly, accentuating his neck. He has curly long hair, sideburns and moustache. His drapery comes over his right shoulder in a great swag and drapes over the top of his left arm. Held in place by strap coming diagonally over his left shoulder. This is a copy or studio version of 'Philosopher' by Orazio Marinali (1643–1720).
