A wintry landscape scene of a suburban park. A frozen lake is in the foreground witha large, bare-branched willow tree at its edge in the centre of the composition. There are figures skating on the lake and walking along the paths through the park. There is a church and houses visible through mist in background, as well as the pink evening sun to illuminate the scene. Dodd lived at Blackheath Park in London and recorded that he depicted here the Princess of Wales pond.
