Art UK has received funding from Arts Council England to undertake a digital skills project over the next two years.
We are seeking to recruit a cohort of 20 collections in England who wish to receive dedicated support to enhance their digital skills in areas such as storytelling, marketing and audiences.
The programme will deliver training through online webinars and toolkits, skill sharing with networks, and will result in bespoke digital content, created, published and marketed with dedicated help from the team at Art UK.
While the online programme is free, 1 or 2 staff members from each cohort collection will need to commit to:
- 1:1 support meetings with Art UK project staff every two months
- at least one 45-minute training webinar per month
- allocating time to work on at least one piece of digital content
The programme will run from April 2025 until January 2026, requiring an estimated 20–30 hours' time commitment per year.
To ensure the project aligns with our expertise and makes the greatest impact, Art UK may prioritise non-NPO collections in ACE priority places, with art as a substantial part of their collection – though expressions of interest are welcome from all collections in England.
We’ve had a high volume of enquiries about the programme. We are currently reviewing the expressions of interest and will respond to these soon.
